He tried to live in a motel for a month, until one night the landlord kept his belongings outside because the rent fee was due.

He met a lot finacial problem. He needed to save every single penny he had to survive. To make things worse, his saving was cut by the government tax leaving him with a misserable situation to live. He had no where to live.

One day, he applied a job as a stockbroker. He was accepted as an intern for six months. His job was to make meeting, offer stock, and try to make deal. With such high demanding task, he received very low during the intern.

Every evening, he needed to go to the shelter fast enough before it was full. In the shelter, he tried to fix the last remaining medical tool. If he could fix it, he would have some money for the living. One day, he missed the shelter. It was full and the most terrible day. He slept in the toilet with his son, while pretending they were on an adventure.

Then, live changed slowly. The events turned in his favor little by little. The medical tool was fixed. He was finally able to sell the last piece of investment he put on. After so many trial and error, he found a way in the manual. He changed a bulb in the machine that made it worked again. It was the turn point for the sequences of Christ’s misfortune.

And his luck shone the most when one day, the manager called him. They evaluated Christ’s work over the six months of intern. He were impressed by how Christ dealt with the hefty amount of work assigned to him. They thought Christ was dedicated, and, therefore, offered Christ a full time job. It was the moment of joy for Christ. He agreed to the offer. He run his son’s daycare, crying over joy.

The Supporting Value

Over the duration of the film, the audience will see how a black man encounter unfortunate moments. Christ was a black who takes care of his only child. He survives the cold of the country without rellying on someone’s pity. Instead, as a black, he stood firm and did everything he could for his son. He made a good figure of a black father in the most desperate situation. He fulfilled the role of a father with struggling. The drama does score some emotional points in its portrait of an African-American male who turns out to be an extraordinary single-parent. He nurtures his son with tenderness and love that is impressive.[4]

In the end, the deep message about the film was the struggle. The fruit of the struggling is happiness. Thus, happiness can only be achieved if someone try to pursue it. As a black man, Christ wanted to show that part. Feeling sorry for the situation will not change anything. But his fight with all problems led him to a happy ending.
