Open Like Never Before by The Coca-Cola Company[2]

Due to a serial racism incident in 2020, Coca-Cola had halted their social media for 30 days showing a boycott of racist content. This was done as the Chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company declared that there was no place for racism on social media and in the world[3]. After the social media advertising hiatus, Coca-Cola came back with a campaign that portrays how should we live and embrace the differences among everyone. It can be seen as the commercial narrates that we do not have to back to normal as this time is the opportunity to be  more gentle, braver, more mindful and better than before. This is the time to make a difference as we have the opportunity (half-full) #OpenLikeNeverBefore. The commercial named "Open Like Never Before" features George Mpanga, the African American great poet's poem. George The Poet stated that the message was brought from his experience. He believes that there is always an opportunity to bring a change in many things such as the covid-19 pandemic has reflected all of us to stay strong, united, and more patient adapting with the situation that we're facing right now[4]. The commercial shows that "better normal" means being open to listening to others, respecting others, and removing injustice[5].
