  • ... that during the Great Depression, the kilns of Medalta Potteries were used as overnight accommodation by travellers? Source: "These aren’t just historic kilns; they also did double duty as cheap accommodations during the Great Depression in the 1930s. The cooling kilns made a cozy place to sleep for people travelling across Canada looking for work. According to the museum, as many as 40 men could sleep in each of the enormous kilns, and these “guests” were welcome as long as they were gone by the time the factory was ready to start work in the morning." • Hi Mindmatrix, review follows; article moved to mainspace 27 November; article exceeds minimum length; article is cited inline throughout to reliable sources; I didn't notice any overly close paraphrasing form the single online source; hook fact is interesting, mentioned in the article and backed up by the source; both images suggested are free and a QPQ review has been carried out. No problems here - Dumelow (talk) 08:48, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Template:Ping Thanks for the review. Can you provide an appropriate tick mark (or other symbol; see this list). Also, do you have an image preference from those I provided? Mindmatrix 12:52, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
Symbol confirmed.svg Sorry Mindmatrix I always seem to forget the icon! I prefer the interior shot but either works - Dumelow (talk) 13:07, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Symbol question.svg Hi, I came by to promote this. The hook makes it sound like these were used as hostels for backpackers or something. Could we write:
  • ALT1: ... that during the Great Depression, the kilns of Medalta Potteries were used as overnight accommodation by people travelling the country in search of work? Yoninah (talk) 23:02, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg Thanks. Restoring tick for ALT1 per Dumelow's review. Yoninah (talk) 00:11, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
