Daniel Case (talk) Daniel Case (talk) Daniel Case (talk) Is this all that unusual with hurricanes: one comes and does tons of damage, then another one with as much destructive potential comes through (I just lived through this myself with Irene and Lee)? Is there hook potential instead in it going from depression to hurricane 2 hours after crossing land? Daniel Case (talk)

Actually yea, it is fairly unusual for evacuations so soon after a really destructive storm. Most areas affected by Irene weren't affected by Lee. As for the hurricane rather quickly, I have reason to doubt that, given that it was probably a tropical storm before it hit the Yucatan Peninsula. At that time, they weren't that accurate in assessing intensity. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:03, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
OK, we need to make it clearer in the hook that the evacuations are the unusual aspect. I have accordingly reworded the hook. Daniel Case (talk) 21:43, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:54, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
