Enid Bosworth Lorimer

  • ... that within the entertainment circle, what Enid Bosworth Lorimer would not entertain was the prospect of retirement?

Created by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Self nominated at 05:18, 9 March 2013 (UTC).

  • Symbol possible vote.svg The article says ...she was very active within the entertainment circle and would not entertain the prospect of retirement, despite self-admitted signs of "phasing out". There's no mention of how it was the "only thing" she wouldn't entertain. I think we need a new hook, or at least a rewording. Chamal TC 14:02, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Symbol redirect vote4.png Hook fact, date, length verified. No copyright issues etc etc. But I'm not sure if the image is PD; the source does say Reproduction for purposes other than private study or research will require permission so wouldn't that override any existing PD conditions? Could an image copyright expert please take a look? Chamal TC 06:23, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
    • Symbol possible vote.svg No, such comments do not override public domain in Australia. (The comment about private study or research relates to Australian Fair Dealing (equivalent to US Fair Use), and is not relevant here.) However: The image was taken in 1960, and while the images were deposited in the State Library of New South Wales by the Australian Photographic Agency, the copyrights were not reassigned to the state of New South Wales. The copyrights on images created before 1955 have expired; but this image was taken in 1960, and so is still under copyright in Australia until 2030. I have removed the image from the nomination. The nomination is otherwise okay, but someone might now want to remove the image from the article as well. Hawkeye7 (talk) 19:34, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Sorry! I misread the publication date. I have removed the picture. Good now? ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:15, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
  • There's still the matter of the hook not being supported by the article of the source. Do you have an ALT hook? Hawkeye7 (talk) 19:20, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT2: ... that actress Enid Bosworth Lorimer was born as May Enid Bosworth Nunn, acted using the name Enid Lorimer, and in her twilight years wrote children's books as Ellen Bosworth?
  • Symbol question.svg Article is new enough, long enough, well-referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. QPQ done. But I think you could do better with the hook. What about working something around her 70-year acting career? Or even better, the paltry number of people at her funeral? Yoninah (talk) 23:35, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT3: ... that even though Enid Bosworth Lorimer had an acting career spanning 70 years, only six people turned up at her funeral? Esemono (talk) 06:51, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg Article is new enough, long enough, well-referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. QPQ done. ALT3 is taken on AGF and ALT2 is linked above. -- Esemono (talk) 06:51, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
  • Sorry, Esemono, you cannot approve your own hook. And Bonkers, when you make a change, please note it and sign it on the template.
  • Pictogram voting keep.svg ALT3 hook ref AGF. I added a comma to the hook. ALT3 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 13:53, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
