  • Symbol possible vote.svg ALT-0 seems like it's good (ALT-1 isn't as interesting). Review:
  • Hook: Alt-0 is very interesting. It's inline cited to a book published by the Naval Institute Press which seems RS. I believe the specific citation, for DYK purposes, has to immediately follow the appearance of the hook in the article, in this case, after "... hard labor at Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary".
  • Policies: article and hook are NPOV and generally meet other policies, however, the word "pictured" needs to be italicized.
  • Length: article is long enough
  • QPQ: done - Template:Did you know nominations/Nehemiah Corporation of America
  • Newness: article created December 18
*Image: none
  • Plagiarism: per Earwig Violation Unlikely
Chris troutman - I think if you can just fix the one minor thing with the hook, and italicize "pictured", this will be ready to go. DarjeelingTea (talk) 22:43, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Symbol possible vote.svgChris troutman - sorry I didn't notice the image before. The image is credited as a USAF image but there's no evidence provided of it being such as the upload location is FindAGrave, which enforces a copyright. I attempted a reverse image search to see if it's discoverable elsewhere that has a direct chain of custody to the USAF but could not find anything. It's obvious to me, based on the pose and 3/4s headshot, that this is most likely a USAF photo and not a private studio portrait in-uniform, however, I'm not certain our personal assurance meets the standards of the Reviewing Guide. Would you consider replacing it with the photo of Shoop next to the aircraft? DarjeelingTea (talk) 01:55, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
Template:Replyto The OTRS e-mail hasn't been acknowledged, yet. I've sent a request to the source of the Air Force image so hopefully that will straighten this out. Chris Troutman (talk) 02:46, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
Symbol confirmed.svg OK - hook approved, image not approved DarjeelingTea (talk) 02:50, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
Comment "long before retiring as a" could easily be trimmed from ALT0. Edwardx (talk) 12:10, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
Agree Alt-0 is poorly worded. It's self evident that it was long before as the hook states he was a cadet. It could be rewritten as "Major General Clarence A. Shoop (pictured) was court-martialed when he was a cadet?" The reader will immediately apprehend that these events are at opposite ends of his career. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:49, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
