Branch House

Branch House,Richmond, Virginia

  • ... that when architect John Russell Pope designed Branch House (pictured) in 1916, the 28,000 sq ft private residence included designated storage rooms for carpets, china, paintings — and suits of armor?

  • Expansion more than sufficient and nominated in time. Unfortunately I don't have time to check the referencing today; will return to that. Hook is interesting; added space to sq ft and removed italics. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:57, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Symbol possible vote.svg Close paraphrasing concerns. For example, the sentence "a large 16th-century country house in Warwickshire, England known as Compton Wynyates, which featured half-timbering, leaded-glass casement windows, brick diapering, oriels and linenfold paneling." is almost identical to the original. Thanks, I took care of that instance. Appreciate the feedback! 842U (talk) 12:01, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

  • Pictogram voting keep.svg I've now checked what references I could, and with some tweaking for accuracy, including attributing things to the right source, I think this is ready to go. I looked for overly close paraphrasing and didn't find any, although one of the sources I would have liked to check I couldn't see. I've added the (pictured) to the hook and moved the QPQ declaration up above where my review starts. The picture is used in the article, says on Commons that it is CC-BY-3.0, and I can see even at the small resolution that it's a Jacobean pile, so I recommend its use.
