Blanche of Burgundy

Queen Blanche

  • ... that during her underground imprisonment for adultery, Blanche of Burgundy (pictured) gave birth and became queen of two kingdoms?

  • Symbol confirmed.svg Article has been 5x expanded within 5 days. I was able to verify hook facts via Google Books. Picture is currently used in the article (crop from larger painting) and has a valid license (should be PD-art,PD-100 actually). Some of the wording in the article is unusual "The Count and Countess of la Marche had an unusually unremarkable marriage" (how so?). I guess imprisoning your wife was blasé back then. Stylistic choices don't factor in DYK. Froggerlaura ribbit 22:10, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
  • I suppose I should have made it clear that the marriage was unusual until the adultery charges. While the marriage of Blanche's eldest brother-in-law and her "accomplice" sister-in-law was a failure from the onset, her sister Joan's marriage to Philip was such a success that Philip even sent Joan love letters and defended her during the trial. Charles and Blanche, on the other hand, had a marriage that was neither obviously terrible nor obviously blissful; it was literally unremarkable. I will try to make it clearer. Thank you a lot for your comments! Surtsicna (talk) 22:25, 10 February 2013 (UTC)
