Berceuse (Chopin)

Chopin, by George Sand, in 1841

5x expanded by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 13:01, 18 September 2018 (UTC).

  • Symbol delete vote.svg. I'm sorry, but since Sept. 11 when you began expanding, to Sept 18, the date of the last edit, the readable prose (number of letters in the main text) has only gone from 575k to 1825k. A 5x expansion would require the readable prose to be at 2875k. If you can add about 1000 more letters to the narrative by the end of today, you still can get this through for a DYK nomination. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 21:21, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
You are right about the expansion, but not about the time limit. I'll see if I can expand more. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:35, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
5x Nominations must have been expanded within seven days. You began expanding on the 11th — today is the 19th. I was hoping that since you nominated only yesterday, they would allow for the complete expansion today. Best of luck to you. (Nice article!) -- Gwillhickers (talk) 21:58, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
No. As for all improvements, you have as much time as the reviewer grants, the only limit is you must nominate within seven days (which I did). I expanded some, and will do more tomorrow. Plenty of material, such as recordings, and more lead. It's after midnight where I live, and writing when tired is not good for quality ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:52, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Didn't realize you could expand less than 5x, nominate, and after seven days a reviewer could allow you to make up the rest. The criteria says "within the past seven days ... the article has had its prose portion expanded at least fivefold". Not that it matters much to me, but as a reviewer I will try to get the nomination through when you reach 5x, regardless. Hope no one else makes an issue. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 23:29, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
I am sorry that I made the mistake of not realizing it wasn't yet long enough when I nominated. - When references are missing, you add them, in any time. When formatting is wrong, you fix it, in any time. I watched several noms, including my own (BWV 132 for example, and Loire), where expanding took a while. Will do it today. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:10, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Done. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:31, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg — Article has been expanded more than 5x since Sept 11. Image of Chopin is in the Public Domain. Hook is well cited, is within limits and is interesting. QPQ is satisfied. I made some spell fixes and removed a few duplicate links. Article is good to go. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 21:29, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
