Anthony Watson (skeleton racer)
- ... that at the 2018 Winter Olympics, Anthony Watson became the first slider to represent the Caribbean nation of Jamaica in skeleton? Source: "Watson, 28, is set to represent Jamaica in the Winter Olympics as the country's first-ever skeleton competitor."
- ALT1:... that watching videos about the sport convinced Anthony Watson to choose to compete in skeleton after an injury led him to drop track and field? Source: "After an injury slowed his times drastically, his dream of pursuing track and field seemed unreachable. One day he went through each USA team's tryout page and finally came across USA Bobsled and Skeleton. Being familiar with bobsled, he began watching videos on skeleton and became hooked."

- The sources say that he is the first to represent Jamaica in skeleton in the Olympics - he might not be the first to represent them at other events, so the first hook needs tweaking. I'd prefer that this were to happen as, while ALT1 checks out, I think it's weaker. violet/riga [talk] 00:15, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Template:U, how about ALT2:...that the first slider to represent Jamaica in skeleton at the Olympic level was Anthony Watson, an American from New Jersey who competed for the Caribbean nation at the 2018 Winter Games? Source: "Anthony Watson, 28, will become the first Jamaican to compete in skeleton when he slides down the ice in PyeongChang, South Korea, later this month.... Watson might be representing Jamaica at the Winter Olympics, but he was actually born and raised in the US - Vineland, New Jersey, to be exact."
- I'm happy with that. violet/riga [talk] 13:16, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Ping you should provide a review that explicitly confirms that the five main DYK criteria have been met. A convenient Reviewer's Template is located above the edit window. Yoninah (talk) 16:22, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
