Anke Sieloff

Moved to mainspace by LouisAlain (talk) and Gerda Arendt (talk). Nominated by Gerda Arendt (talk) at 12:50, 4 July 2019 (UTC).

I'd like to suggest an alt: – Teratix 12:51, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the offer, but would you like to be defined only by your father? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:57, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Hmm, good point. – Teratix 23:20, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol question.svg This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright or plagiarism issues. A QPQ has been done. I am approving ALT1, although I know the nominator does not like it, but it does get away from the "singer performs X, Y and Z roles" hook stereotype. ALT0 is not strictly accurate. The Witches of Eastwick (musical) has a list of venues where the musical has been performed and it does not include the German production, presumably because it was a derivative work, in German. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:50, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
What do you think is wrong with "the first German production", which could be "first production in German", or "a German production". This is the one opera singer (in ten years) where musical is the focus, - why not mention that for just saying whose daughter she was? + will readers even know her father? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:15, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
I'm not bothered with actually using ALT1, but I approved it because there is nothing wrong with it. If the first German production of The Witches of Eastwick took place in 2012, please add it to the The Witches of Eastwick (musical) page. Was the production in English, or had it been translated? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:49, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
It was in German, that's why I suggested "first production in German" alternatively. I won't add to the musical article. In opera - and I know little about musical - we usually list only the premiere, and premieres in the UK and/or US. Imagine we would have all Finnish / Spanish ... premieres. We sometimes mention exceptional other performances, but I don't think this one qualifies. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:27, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
It seems to me that it was the first German production of Die Hexen von Eastwick, not of The Witches of Eastwick. I take "German production" to mean in Germany rather than in the German language. In any event, we will need a citation at the end of the sentence. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:37, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that among the musical roles performed by Anke Sieloff at the Musiktheater im Revier were Maria in West Side Story, and a witch in the first production in German of The Witches of Eastwick ? + I duplicated the ref. If we'd give the title in German there was no connection to that it is one of the title roles. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:56, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Symbol voting keep.svg Thank you. Approving ALT2 and striking the other hooks. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:50, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
