  • Comment: Second nomination - still getting the hang of everything!

  • Symbol question.svg Welcome to DYK! You're QPQ exempt. The article is new enough and long enough. The hook checks out and is in the article, but we try to avoid "first" hooks at DYK, so I'm going to challenge you to consider potential other options. Her time as the director of the electoral institute in Benin might fit the bill, as might the fact that she has defended two doctoral theses. Raymie (tc) 04:04, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the pointers Template:Ping - I hadn't realised that about DYK. I've put an ALT1 below here, which I hope is a bit better. (Lajmmoore (talk) 08:23, 9 July 2020 (UTC))
ALT1: ... that Dr Angèle Dola Akofa Aguigah is a 'Human Living Treasure of Togo' due to her two PhDs, her archaeological research and her role as Minister of Culture of Togo from 2003-12?
  • Template:Ping I don't see a citation for the Human Living Treasure designation, which would be necessary. If I could get one, it might help in improving this hook, too. Raymie (tc) 08:28, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Template:Ping - my bad - I've just added it now - it's the Encyclopedia of Global Archaeology ref 1 in the list.
  • Template:Ping Unfortunately it doesn't justify the "why" sufficiently to be a hook. Let me suggest an ALT2, though please tell me if this is an accurate characterization of Monroe 2014: Raymie (tc) 17:34, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that Angèle Dola Akofa Aguigah demonstrated that the earthworks at Notsé in Togo were used to define separate social spaces, not for defence?
Sounds good to me! Thanks for taking the trouble! (Lajmmoore (talk) 16:37, 10 July 2020 (UTC))
Symbol voting keep.svg Alright, I think this is good with ALT2. Raymie (tc) 17:54, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
