Hey Flibirigit, I added the two citations you requested (18 and 8 respectively). Thanks, Toreightyone (talk) 17:35, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Symbol confirmed.svg Great, thanks. Review approved with no preference of hook. Flibirigit (talk) 18:11, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

  • Symbol possible vote.svg Returned from prep. Several new hooks were suggested at WT:DYK but calling it a "cream" is not mentioned in the article. To avoid the claim of advertising, I suggest crafting a new hook. Yoninah (talk) 13:38, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Template:Ping Let's work on this here, and come up with some stronger hooks. Please look into incorporating the word "cream" into the article where it is applicable, and suggest a hook for shea butter cream. Also, some ideas for hooks were suggested. Please consider using the following themes:
  • immigrant and business entrepreneur (multiple possibilites here)
  • only child of 19 to go to school
  • the program was to promote STEM studies
  • reword ALT1 to be a bit less on definining Forum Afrique Expansion, and more about its goals.
I am open to other ideas as well. Thanks! Flibirigit (talk) 15:01, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
I got a few hooks that could work, --Toreightyone (talk) 18:17, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

ALT2: ...that Amina Gerba's (pictured) skin-care company created manufactures the first shea butter product to be organically certified?

As apposed to referring to it as a cream, Source

ALT3: ...that out of nineteen kids, Amina Gerba (pictured) was the only girl to attend school in her family?

Source: "...par le parcours de la femme d’affaires Amina Gerba, 18e de 19 enfants, seule fille de sa famille à avoir fréquenté l’école..." (Roughly translates to: By the journey of businesswoman Amina Gerba, 18th of 19 kids, only girl in her family to have attended school)

ALT4: ...that Amina Gerba's (pictured) beauty-care companies hire and give a portion of profits to the 2,000 women of the Songtaaba Cooperative in Burkina Faso?

Source: "A 1996 visit to Burkina Faso inspired Gerba to visit the Songtaaba Cooperative, an association of women producers of raw shea butter... and ultimately grew the co-op from 20 to more than 2,000 women producers.”
(Roughly translates to: Kariliss who sells beauty products with a shea butter base. The company employs 30 people in Quebec and 2000 women in Burkina Faso who receive a portion of profits and benefit from a microfinance program put in place by Mrs. Gerba)

ALT5: ...that Daniel Kablan Duncan, Philippe Couillard, Alpha Oumar Konaré, and Sheila Copps were among speakers at Amina Gerba's Afrique Expansion forum?

(Roughly translates to: In 2009, she hosted ... the former president of Mali, Alpha Oumar Konaré ... In 2013, the Ivorian delegation was lead by the Ivorian Prime Minister in person. For the 2015 edition, it was around the Prime Minister [of Quebec] Philippe Couillard)
Source: "former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Sheila Copps"
  • I have made a slight tweak to ALT1 to make it flow better. ALT5 would not be appealing since it's a list of names without much context. ALT2 is not bad, but the word "created" does not appear in the sources, whereas "manufactures" does. ALT3 is suitable for a quirkly slot, but I would prefer the photo slot. I'm happy with ALT4. Before I approve, I want to offer you a chance to make any changes. Flibirigit (talk) 19:26, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Sounds good to me! Thanks, Toreightyone (talk) 21:31, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
Template:Ping, we need to rework this sentence in the article: "Kariderm (sold under Flash Beauté Inc., also founded by Gerba) is made with shea butter and is the first of its kind to obtain organic certification by ECOCERT." It needs to sound more like ALT2 with manufactured, instead of created. I really prefer ALT2, but I cannot go ahead with it until the change. Flibirigit (talk) 04:28, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Maybe: Gerba's company Flash Beauté Incorporated manufactures Kariderm, a skin care product made with shea butter, and the first of its kind to obtain organic certification by ECOCERT." Does that seem accurate, as per this Source? Flibirigit (talk) 04:31, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
I reworded the first two sentences of Amina Gerba#Beauty brands, let me know what you think. Toreightyone (talk) 12:59, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Symbol confirmed.svg We're good to go now with ALT1, ALT2, ALT3 & ALT4. Flibirigit (talk) 16:05, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Thanks for taking this on, Template:U. ALT4 is a great hook. The promotion will have to wait a few days so we won't have too many people images in a row. Yoninah (talk) 22:05, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
I notice that her birthday is March 14th. I think that would be an extra special occasion request considering Women's History month. Flibirigit (talk) 22:20, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Template:Ping how do you feel about a March 14th special occasion request? Flibirigit (talk) 22:28, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Great idea. Yoninah (talk) 22:29, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
Sure thing, whichever is more convenient! Thanks, Toreightyone (talk) 11:50, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
