  • FYI - a good deal of this article is copied/paraphrased from a PD source (though, as you can tell, I've combined it with other available non-PD sources). Looks like the DYK rules specify that whatever is not copied/paraphrased must reach 1500 chars. I'm not really inclined to do this calculation, but someone probably should. I'll try to add a bit more info about his tenure at the Birmingham Barons to flesh it out. Calliopejen1 (talk) 22:16, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Calliopejen1, prior to submitting this article, I made sure to check it against all DYK criteria. The prose size (text only) is 3254 characters (523 words) and is "readable prose size." The content from the PD source has been paraphrased sufficiently. Please feel free to add as much content as you feel is necessary. -- Caponer (talk) 22:28, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Symbol redirect vote 4.svg Full review needed. Review should check the paraphrasing to make sure it isn't too close. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:33, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
    • Paraphrased PD sources can be close or verbatum, just that we don't count that in the 1500. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:34, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
      • The single PD source is internally cited within the text twelve times, and the text utilized from the source has been sufficiently paraphrased in each of these instances so that the wording isn't close or verbatim. I've also added several introductory paragraphs, bringing the article to 4917 characters (785 words) of "readable prose size." -- Caponer (talk) 12:54, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg Everything looks good to me now. Article is still strongly influenced by the PD source, but it's not excessively close to that source, and there is plenty of content from other sources. I didn't find evidence of close paraphrasing of non-PD sources. Hook is very definitely supported by the article and the sources. I changed the hook to give his first two initials instead of his first and middle name. He was widely known as "Rick" in addition to "A.H." The stuffy-sounding "A.H." seems more effective for this hook than either "Rick" or "Allen Harvey." Image is PD and is used in the article. --Orlady (talk) 23:16, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
