  • Symbol question.svg Articles are new enough and long enough, both are referenced, and neutral in wording. No policy issues are identified. I think the articles and the hook need to be clarified that 40 termites per day was identified though a controlled laboratory experiment and not something observed directly in he wild.--Kevmin § 17:22, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Symbol possible vote.svg Unfortunately I have to change my assessment for now. The hook is cited to a predatory journal and not considered an acceptable reliable source. A new hook and new referencing for the articles will be needed.--Kevmin § 17:29, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Template:Ping I became aware when writing these articles that some of the sources were from journals that certain Wikipedia editors are critical of. A study in a predatory journal is suspect because it has not been peer-reviewed, but it is not necessarily wrong. The two articles are linked by that suspect source and I would have to propose two separate hooks to cover the two articles. I am disinclined to waste time searching for better sources, which may not be available, and propose abandoning this nomination. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:50, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
  • Symbol delete vote.svg Fair enough, sad that you feel that way, but ill have to fail this due to MOS policy.--Kevmin § 20:45, 22 November 2020 (UTC)
