85th Street (Manhattan)

Flag of the German American Bund

5x expanded by Epeefleche (talk). Self nominated at 06:26, 10 June 2014 (UTC).

  • Perhaps as an apology for trying to delete this (maybe it's considered a COI), I'll review the nomination.
  • Symbol confirmed.svg 5x expansion verified. The article is well-referenced, neutral in tone, and mainly original content, and I can't see any problems with it anymore. The hook is backed up by no less than three references, and the image is free-use. I think it's good to go. Epicgenius (talk) 14:36, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
    • I'd rather not be known as the guy who puts a swastika on the front page. Suggest running without the image. Hawkeye7 (talk) 04:52, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
      • I thought long and hard about the image before proposing it. I'm not supporting the Nazis, and I don't think the hook does, and I don't think the image in the hook does. The image and similar images are used appropriately throughout the project. I expect when The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich was printed, Shirer had a choice of images, and went with this one for appropriate reasons similar to the reason that make a decision to run the image here appropriate ... rather than because he supported the Nazis. It drives home the "hooky" point of the hook. Epeefleche (talk) 05:23, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
