2017 Lebanon–Saudi Arabia dispute

Created by Classicwiki (talk) and Expectant of Light (talk). Nominated by Expectant of Light (talk) at 17:48, 16 November 2017 (UTC).

  • Comment As the creator of the article, I feel slightly uncomfortable with the first blurb because the issue is a bit more nuanced. Much more comfortable with ALT1. However, I have not familiarized myself with the DYK process/guidelines, so take my opinion for what its worth. Classicwiki (talk) (ping me please) 19:54, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Comment Thanks for comment Classicwiki. Several sources have said that the man was either kidnapped or taken hostage according to the sources. These include Robert Fisk of the Independent, Michel Aoun, the Lebanese President, Hezbollah sources and other unnamed Lebanese officials as well as media. The hostage talk still continues see this recent development. But for greater accuracy we can propose a third alt specifying the source of accusation as Lebanon, even though there are non-Lebanese sources as I mentioned suggesting kidnapping and hostage taking, too. So I added a third alt. --Expectant of Light (talk) 06:41, 17 November 2017 (UTC). Forgot to tag you Template:Ping. --Expectant of Light (talk) 16:26, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
