2014 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final

5x expanded by Cptnono (talk). Self nominated at 02:02, 17 January 2015 (UTC).

  • Symbol question.svg Expansion is large enough and was done in the required time frame. The article is plenty long enough, and most of it of cited to reliable sources. I am concerned, however, about the Bleacher Report source that is being used for the hook. That is a blog-type website, and I wouldn't consider it to be reliable. A fact like the hook claim should be easy to find a better source for. Also, make sure to put the citation directly after the relevant sentence in the article and remember your QPQ review. Thanks for taking a look. I added a reference from The Seattle Times: [1]
I was wary of a few sources based on perception. Bleacher Report has changed its policies and the writer has a degree in journalism and has been published on CNN. The writers from Sounder At Heart used all recieve press passes form the club and league (I didn't use the user submitted content). I'm hoping to not replace them all while going for GA but will start looking just in case.Cptnono (talk) 22:45, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
(Review added. Never done it before so le me k ow if it was not right)
The review looks fine. I didn't know that Bleacher Report had become more professional, so that should be okay, and the hook fact sourcing is fine. There is one further issue I found in a spot-check: the first goal in Philadelphia's semifinal was scored in the first half, not the second half. Fix that little issue and this should be ready for a check mark. Giants2008 (Talk) 20:17, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Wow good catch. Fixed[2]Cptnono (talk) 20:45, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Symbol confirmed.svg With that fix, I think this is good to go now. Giants2008 (Talk) 16:06, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
