  • Symbol question.svg The sentence saying that the Sounders reached their third straight U.S. Open Cup Final is uncited, and there's no source right now for them being in the final. Easiest fix would be to move the last cite in that section down a sentence to cover the relevant part. Everything else looks good, although I still need to do spot-checks. • I just moved the ref to the end of the paragraph. The news article makes it clear that this is their "third straight" appearance in the tournament final. I also added another source for additional support if necessary. Thanks for reviewing the nom. --SkotyWATC 04:13, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
  • The fix looks good. I spot-checked a handful of the sources and found one slightly troublesome bit: ref 23 has "Neagle sealed the win in the 74th minute", as compared to the article's "Seattle midfielder Lamar Neagle sealed the win in the 74th minute...". Identical phrasing there. However, the other references I checked (including several game recaps) showed no indication of any widespread problems. • Thank you for pointing this out. I'm mildly embarrassed that I wasn't more careful about this. I've rephrased the sentence as follows: In the 74th minute, Seattle midfielder Lamar Neagle scored from cross by Alvaro Fernandez, extending Seattle's lead to 2 and ensuring the win. --SkotyWATC 03:49, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
