This template is used by Did you know to tag a variety of project pages, according to the needs of the project.
Usage
Template {{DYK/Tags}}
is a multipurpose template, with specific applications, designed to meet the specialized needs of Did you know. It will be expanded to meet additional needs as they are identified—in the course of supporting the DYK mission.

Transclusion examples
{{DYK/Tags}} or {{DYKT}} may be used to produce the |default= portion of this template. It becomes the basic top-notice for all DYK categories and sub-categories. Either syntax shown produces the following example:
- The main category for this sub-category is: Category:DYK.
- The main page for this category is: Wikipedia:Did you know.
Template:Tracking category
{{DYKT}} must only be used in the category namespace. The template will produce an error message if it is present in any other namespace. The parameters must be switched when it is used in other areas—for example: the |talk= switch allows its use on talk pages, in any namespace—as described below:
{{DYK/Tags|talk}} or {{DYKT|talk}} may be used for tagging remote talk pages that are rarely motored—directing editors to a more appropriate talk page, where they are more likely to get a response. Either syntax shown produces the following example:

Substitution examples
The "|doc= " switch produces DYK specific output for creating template documentation pages.
