Purpose

This template adds an external link to an entry in the Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Christianity (BDCC) at www.bdcconline.net.

Parameters

Parameters:

|url-id=the location of the entry at the BDCC website. For example, the entry "Robert Morrison (1782–1834)", with the URL http://bdcconline.net/en/stories/morrison-robert , will be said to have the url-id of morrison-robert.

All the rest of the parameters take values as described in {{cite encyclopedia}}

|title=Title of the Article
|last=Surname of the article author
|first=Given name(s) of the article author
|author-link=Wikipedia article title about that author
|last2=Additional article authors can be added, in the same format.
|first2=
|author2-link=
|last3=
|first3=
|author3-link=
|last4=
|first4=
|author4-link=
|access-date=access date of the article; date format should match the rest of the citations in our article

Examples and usage

Suppose you want to add an external link to the BDCC's article on Robert Morrison (1782–1834). The location of this entry at the BDCC is at morrison-robert , the title of the entry is "Robert Morrison (1782–1834)." The code

will produce the link
