Articles for creation/Redirects

Hi Afc redirect error, I'm Example, and I noticed you made an edit to Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects and categories. Your request was either empty, had elements missing, or the edit did not belong at WP:AFC/R, so for now it has been removed. If you would just like to experiment, please use the sandbox instead. When you feel ready to file a new request at Articles for creation/Redirects, you can simply click one of these buttons:

Click here to request the creation of a new redirect
Click here to request the creation of a new category

If your aim was to create a new article, I recommend you use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Please make sure you also read Your First Article and the Tutorial. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you.

Usage

You may either use:

  • {{subst:Afc redirect error}} ~~~~ by itself for the default message,

or you may add a custom message as an optional parameter that will replace "Thank you.":

  • {{subst:Afc redirect error|OPTIONAL_MESSAGE}} ~~~~

Twinkle

You can add this template to the custom warning list in your Twinkle preferences:

  1. Go to § Warn user
  2. Find "Custom warning templates to display:" and click the Edit items button
  3. Click the Add button
  4. In the left field "Template name (no curly brackets)" add Afc redirect error
  5. In the right field "Text to show in warning list (also used as edit summary)" you could add e.g. Error at WP:AFC/R
  6. Click the Save changes button on the dialogue box
  7. Click the Save changes button on the Twinkle preferences page

Alternatively, if you prefer to add the template manually to your Twinkle preferences stored in a subpage of your user page, the end result should look like this:

"customWarningList": [
      {
        "value": "Afc redirect error",
        "label": "Error at [[WP:AFC/R]]"
      }
    ],
