Usage

This template generates links to scanned pages of A&S. It can be abbreviated as AS ref. For links to its update, the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions, use {{dlmf}}.

Parameters

The first parameter should be a chapter number, and any additional comments, such as an equation number. The second parameter should be the page number. For example:

{{AS ref|3, eqn 3.6.26|16}}

will result in

Abramowitz, Milton; Stegun, Irene Ann, eds. (1983) [June 1964]. "Chapter 3, eqn 3.6.26". Handbook of Mathematical Functions with Formulas, Graphs, and Mathematical Tables. Applied Mathematics Series. 55 (Ninth reprint with additional corrections of tenth original printing with corrections (December 1972); first ed.). Washington D.C.; New York: United States Department of Commerce, National Bureau of Standards; Dover Publications. p. 16. ISBN 978-0-486-61272-0. LCCN 64-60036. MR 0167642. LCCN Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". 65-Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[".Template:Only in print.

It is possible to give a 3rd parameter that is another chapter number and a fourth that is another page number, so

{{AS ref|9|355|10|435}}

will result in

Abramowitz, Milton; Stegun, Irene Ann, eds. (1983) [June 1964]. "Chapter 9". Handbook of Mathematical Functions with Formulas, Graphs, and Mathematical Tables. Applied Mathematics Series. 55 (Ninth reprint with additional corrections of tenth original printing with corrections (December 1972); first ed.). Washington D.C.; New York: United States Department of Commerce, National Bureau of Standards; Dover Publications. pp. 355, 435. ISBN 978-0-486-61272-0. LCCN 64-60036. MR 0167642. LCCN Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". 65-Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[".Template:Only in print. See also chapter 10.

In addition to these unnamed parameters, the template supports the following optional named parameters to specify up to two chapter authors:

first1=, last1=, link1= first2=, last2=, link2=

(For backward-compatibility, the author= parameter is supported as well, but deprecated.)
