Initial visibility: currently defaults to autocollapse

To set this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

  • |state=collapsed: {{2009–10 in men's ice hockey|state=collapsed}} to show the template collapsed, i.e., hidden apart from its title bar
  • |state=expanded: {{2009–10 in men's ice hockey|state=expanded}} to show the template expanded, i.e., fully visible
  • |state=autocollapse: {{2009–10 in men's ice hockey|state=autocollapse}}
    • shows the template collapsed to the title bar if there is a {{navbar}}, a {{sidebar}}, or some other table on the page with the collapsible attribute
    • shows the template in its expanded state if there are no other collapsible items on the page

If the |state= parameter in the template on this page is not set, the template's initial visibility is taken from the |default= parameter in the Collapsible option template. For the template on this page, that currently evaluates to autocollapse.

Usage

This template is a navigational tool between top-level professional league around the world in the 2009–10 season. A league must be professional or semi-professional and also be the top level of competition in the country in order to be included in this navigational template.

If the top league of a country – or group of countries in the case of a multinational league such as the National Hockey League or Kontinental Hockey League – falls during the southern hemisphere winter then both the 2009 and 2010 season should be included. See documentation of Australia already included in the template.
