Swizz Beatz released his new protest song, Sad News featuring Scarface following the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police officers. The song was written by Swizz Beatz and Scarface Johansson, released in 2016. [1] The song was in correlation with race and guns in America, about mistaken-identity police killing and injustice. [2]

The song is a response to the shooting incident happened in Dallas, Texas which killed Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, Swizz wrote on Instagram expressing his feelings, “This must stop, [Scarface] and I have something to say today.” [4]
The song opens mournfully with the reality of the gun violence that has been happening across the country for years. Scarface expresses his frustration about the unjust killings of black people by police by referencing Donald Trump and Ku Klux Klan. Beats and Scarface join with other artists like Beyonce, Drake, Big K.R.I.T voice out against the gun violence involving police. [5]
