Noto Botanics is an all-natural, multi-use, fluid in gender cosmetic line launched in 2016 by Gloria Noto, who is a former makeup artist known for her work with i-D, Dazed, and celebrities like Shailene Woodley. Noto Botanics products are Vegan & Cruelty-free, their products include Lip & Cheek Duos, Face Oils & Serums and more.[1]

NOTO Botanics standing out in an increasingly crowded space with an aggressively inclusive approach and an unwavering commitment to causes it believes in. Scrolling through NOTO’s Instagram, it’s plain these values have indeed defined the brand since 2016. Artists and activists are given a platform to tell their stories. Users are encouraged to tag BIPOC creatives. Events with spiritual healers take place over Instagram Live.[2]

Supports to Black Lives Matter

Noto Botanics has stood out from day one for supporting the causes it believes in: Profits of its Agender Oil—a multi-use hemp seed oil laced with smoky vetiver and a touch of lavender—are donated to organizations such as Planned Parenthood, Los Angeles LGBT Center, and, the Okra Project, which provides healthy, home-cooked meals to the Black Trans community.

On June 2020, he brand is focusing its lens on Black queer activists with a forthcoming campaign, as well as via Instagram Live conversations with the likes of Yves B. Golden, the co-founder of the Herbal Mutual Aid Network, a plant medicine drive for Black people seeking support amid the ongoing crisis of racial violence and injustice.[3]

Noto Botanics also be donating a portion of all sales to the George Floyd Fund, Reclaim the Block, and the Minnesota Freedom Fund. The brand has also created a resource page on its website offering suggestions on who, how, and what you can do to support and donate.[4]
