Summary

This book tells about a young African boy named Max who wants to paint the house. Max and his friends disagree when attempting to paint their house to match the sky. One prefers the pink skies of dawn, another the blue skies of daytime and Max the bright yellow of the sun. When rain washes all the paint from the house and a rainbow appears, the friends find a compromise. [2]

Pros

Little Pink (the pig) initially paints the house early in the morning to match the color of the sky. By the time Max and Big Blue (the elephant) came outside to see the artwork the sky had changed colors. Throughout the story all three paint the house different colors to match the sky without thinking that the sky changes colors according to the weather and time of day. They changed the others artwork by adding their own touch. At the end they all included everyone color by making a rainbow. The way this book ends in a compromise was lovely. This book is a good book for working in a team with people that have different strategies. [1]
