Josie Maran cosmetics

Josie Maran cosmetics is a natural cosmetics product line launched in June 2007 by model, Josie Maran. The company motto is "luxury with a conscience" and the main ingredient of the skincare and cosmetics is fair trade argan oil, grown and harvested by co-ops of Moroccan women.[1]

Josie Maran currently retails through QVC, which accounts for 60% of sales; Sephora, which accounts for another 30% of sales; and its own e-commerce, which contributes the remaining 10%, according to Josie Maran, founder and CEO of her eponymous brand. Josie Maran, the brand, earned approximately $150 million in sales in both 2019 and 2020.

Support to Black Lives Matter

Josie Maran shared its support to Black Lives Matter with a message from its founder. “We are frustrated. We are broken. We stand in solidarity. We are committed to making change,” the Instagram post read. “We are not only a beauty brand but a community dedicated to helping uplift and support our Black colleagues, friends, loved ones, and neighbors. In solidarity, let’s take action.” The brand pledged to donate $50,000 to the Loveland Foundation and made a company-wide commitment to take the 15 Percent Pledge, by which a minimum of 15% of future talent featured will be members of the Black community.[2]
