Invesco
Invesco is an American independent investment management company that is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and has branch offices in 20 countries. Its common stock is a constituent of the S&P 500 and trades on the New York stock exchange.[1] Invesco operates under the Invesco, Trimark, Invesco Perpetual, WL Ross & Co and Powershares brand names.
Invesco provides investment management services. The Company offers equity, fixed income, separate accounts, exchange traded, collective, and balance mutual funds. Invesco serves customers worldwide.[2]
Support to anti-racism
After the senseless killing of George Floyd ignited protests against police brutality and racial inequity, Invesco was quick to speak out and take action. In an open letter to clients and employees from President & CEO Marty Flanagan said forcefully that Black lives matter. Invesco zero-tolerance approach to racism of any kind is embedded in their existing programs, such as unconscious bias training for all managers. Within Invesco, they continue to further strengthen their commitment to diversity and inclusion everywhere. They are making a donation to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund. They will also work to be part of the solution as they drive their communities to be more inclusive and to end the racial disparity that is impacting so many live.[3]
Invesco implemented a series of listening sessions with clients, the Invesco Black Professionals Network, and other internal Business Resource Groups. Communications kits for managers encouraged dialogue within teams and Juneteenth was established as a paid holiday for US employees. They continue to build anti-racism programs and will hold ourselves accountable by measuring their ability to increase hiring, promotion and retention of diverse colleagues. Invesco CEO joined over 500 business leaders to urge Georgia lawmakers to sign the Hate Crimes legislation into law.[4]
