Culture Kings is a premium streetwear brand showcasing a unique blend of music, sport and fashion found across the globe. Founded on the Gold Coast in 2008 by Simon and Tahnee Beard, Culture Kings has carved an international reputation for its streetwear, including brands from all corners of the globe, live DJs and instore barber haircutting and VIP customers including Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown and A$AP Rocky.[1]

Culture Kings says that they are heavily influenced by “the sport and music culture that is led by African Americans” wants to bring further awareness to the movement. The brand has also highlighted racism faced by Aboriginal people in Australia.

To stand in solidarity with African Americans and Australia's Indigenous community, They support the #blacklivesmatter movement on Saturday, 6th June, 2020.

Their first steps taken for action is that they are donating 100% of all profits from all stores and online towards this cause. Donations will be split between Black Lives Matter, ANTaR and Campaign Zero.

They also donating to Campaign Zero to support their fight against police brutality. They do that with policy and legislation solutions backed by research and analysis.[3]

On June 6 2020, they managed to raise $93,800, which, they rounded up to $100,000 and will go towards their causes. Funds will be split between Black Lives Matter, ANTaR, Campaign Zero & Team Mills Foundation.

'Be The Change' was just the beginning of what they, as a company, have planned to support this movement. They committed continue to use our platform to educate, drive awareness, influence change and help eradicate racism.[4] Culture Kings shared some resources for their customer regarding some peaceful protest that's being held in Australia, and shared a few platform which people can donate and join the movement and sign petitions. They will update with more ways in which they plan on taking action. Culture Kings also encourage people to give them ideas or suggestions to let them know how people think they can make a difference in supporting equality.[5]

“It is our individual responsibility to educate, both ourselves and others, and spread global awareness of the ongoing challenges the Black and Indigenous communities continue to face.”[6]

Culture Kings also include Patty Mill's Team Mills Foundation for Be The Change tomorrow. The Team Mills Foundation is dedicated to supporting communities around the world. From environmental and wildlife conservation efforts, to providing clean drinking water and supporting women & children shelter’s, to giving a voice to minorities through multiculturalism and diversity.[7]
