Black Empowerment

Black and White is a song about racism no matter who, where, or what you are. These lyrics describe Jackson’s opinion about racism, how the world and people around have affected him. Jackson is trying to talk about how people always accused him of changing his skin color. In fact, everyone is the same in his eyes.

The first lyric of the song, "They printed my message, In the Saturday Sun, I had to tell them, I ain't second to none." gives an emphasis that he (Jackson) is not no one, he is a person with equalities and rights.

In the next line, he said. "I told about Equality , And It's True, Either You're Wrong or you're right ."

He is trying to say that everyone has their own vision and opinion about equality. Nothing is right or wrong, if someone has a different opinion with others, each person is right.

Jackson also pointed of his exhaustion of the racism which described as a Devil by this line :

"I am tired of this devil, I am tired of this stuff, I am tired of this business, So when the going gets rough, I ain't scared of your brother, I ain't Scared of No sheets, I ain't scare of nobody, Girl when the goin' gets mean."

He also stated that he is not scared of anyone and will not let racism affect him. [3]

The powerful part of lyrics about the equality, no matter what your skin colors is whether it is black or white or any color skin type, you are the same, a human-being.

"And I told about equality and it's true

Either you're wrong or you're right

But, if you're thinkin' about my baby It don't matter if you're black or white" [4]
