Farmacy Beauty
Farmacy founded by Mark Veeder, a gardener who grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Upstate New York and was inspired by the discovery of a plant called Echinacea GreenEnvy to launch a line of gentle, effective, and naturally sourced skincare products. Veeder patented this "superhero" Echinacea GreenEnvy, which he says has 300% more natural antioxidants in its roots than regular echinacea. As soon as it launched at Sephora in 2015, it became a runaway hit. The brand's potent but clean and earth-friendly formulas, as well as its chic packaging, have earned them a cult following in less than three years.[1]
Farmacy is 100 percent cruelty-free, and its packaging is recyclable. hey also follow a “clean commandment” protocol for their products: no parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, or formaldehyde donors. They’re also free of mineral oil—which can provoke breakouts.[2]
Support to Black Lives Matter
The farm-fresh skincare brand announced its support of the Black community with a quote from Ella Baker. “To our community of nearly half a million: ‘Until the killing of black men, black mothers’ sons, becomes as important to the rest of the country as the killing of a white mother’s son—we who believe in freedom cannot rest until this happens,’” the post read. Farmacy Beauty shared that it will donate $10,000 to Color of Change and shared additional resources for its 432,000 followers via Instagram stories.[3]
