2011–12 Los Angeles arson attacks

  • Comment: This article has gotten a lot of attention and so has its topic. The article may be nominated as a good article in the near future if it can.

They resolved that issue with "YummyDonutsmmm".--71.80.51.24 (talk) 21:19, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Symbol possible vote.svg Since YummyDonutsmmm, who created the article, has been blocked for socking, I will take over this DYK. After all, I made a duplicate article which YummyDonutsmmm copied and pasted into his article (resolved here). Give me a few days, and I will mark ready for a re-review when I am done with the fixes. The article is on path to be a keep at AfD. BCS (Talk) 20:21, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Symbol redirect vote 4.svg Cleaned up, AfD was keep, ready for re-review. BCS (Talk) 03:06, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Comment : With no sources dated outside the period of the crime, it is still not clear the article does meet the WP:NOTNEWS policy. Mtking (edits) 05:36, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg Everything checks out as OK. Please note that this is not the place to argue about the rightness of an AFD closure. More exciting hooks are possible, but this one is sufficiently interesting. Let's reword it, however, to deemphasize the article title:
  • New hook is fine with me. BCS (Talk) 23:27, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm giving DYKmake credit to BCS for creating 2011 Southern California fires, now merged into this DYK article, and for subsequent clean-up after the nominator got blocked. Have fun at WikiCup. --PFHLai (talk) 21:28, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

As suggested on my usertalkpage by BCS, I'm giving DYKmake credit to Bdell555 (talk⧼dot-separator⧽contribs), too. --PFHLai (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
