100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

Created by Yerevantsi (talk). Self nominated at 02:45, 12 April 2014 (UTC).

NOTICE: I want this article to appear on April 24, 2014, which is the Armenian Genocide remembrance day.

  • Oppose Committees of the Senate do not "adopt resolutions." They report bills to the full Senate. Hipocrite (talk) 15:22, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
Template:Ping Since the nominator appears to have retired. I'll take this one over. What do you think a good alternate proposal for the hook should be? Étienne Dolet (talk) 17:16, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
I lack the requisite knowledge base, nor the ability to confirm any of the purported facts in the article that would be required to write a valid hook. I merely know how the US Senate operates. Hipocrite (talk) 17:20, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
Template:Ping I changed the word adopt to approved. Better? Étienne Dolet (talk) 17:22, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but that's also not true. The committee reported the bill to the full senate. You can review our article on how the US Senate committee system works at US_Senate#Committees. Committees do not approve or adopt or pass bills. They amend them and report them. Hipocrite (talk) 17:30, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
My concern is now addressed. Hipocrite (talk) 17:45, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Symbol confirmed.svg Well written and well referenced, and appears free of any copy-right issues. I edited the article and rewrote the hook to address the concerns voiced above.--¿3family6 contribs 01:51, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
