The Athletics championships navigation template is designed for use on athletics championships pages to provide links to related medallists/results sections of previous and following editions of the same competition.
Usage
There are two basic input fields in the template:
- {{Athletics championships navigation|Section|Label}}
- The Section field should correspond to the name of the section where the template is being used. For athletics championships this should typically be "Track", "Field", "Track 2" or "Field 2". When the same section header is used twice on a page, then the number 2 must be added to provide a link to the second named section header. (On the World Championships in Athletics series, "Track" will refer to the men's section of track results, while "Track 2" will link to the women's section of track results.)
- The Label field is optional and can be used to change the default "Chronology" text label to whatever text is desired.
There are four more optional fields in the template (year1, year2, year3, and year4). Should the competition not fit in a regular two-year cycle, these fields can be entered to change the year entered in the first two or last two links.
Examples
- See 2013 World Championships in Athletics for standard usage
- See 2012 European Athletics Championships for usage of the year option
