Notice

An automated filter has identified a possible formatting error in your edit.

Please read the section below that applies to you. Are you attempting to:

add a link to another website? The <a href> HTML tag does not work on Wikipedia. The correct syntax for adding external links on Wikipedia is [http://www.example.com link title]. Replace http://www.example.com with the URL of the website you wish to link to, and link title with the text you wish to display on the link.
add an image from another website? Unfortunately, it is not possible to do this on Wikipedia. If you created the image, however, you may upload the image to Wikipedia and link to the image as follows: [[File:Example.jpg]]. Note: In certain instances, such as in a gallery or infobox, the square brackets ([[ ]]) may not be necessary. Replace File:Example.jpg with the name of the file. For more detailed information, please see Wikipedia:Extended image syntax. If you did not create the image, then in most cases, you will not be able to add it to Wikipedia, which requires that content be free (that is, may be reused, copied, and modified freely by others) unless allowed under the provision of fair use. See our copyright policy for more details.
add an image hosted on Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons? Likely, what you tried to do was to use the entire URL of the image. The correct syntax for adding an image to a Wikipedia article is [[File:Example.jpg]]. Note: In certain instances, such as in a gallery or infobox, the square brackets ([[ ]]) may not be necessary. Replace File:Example.jpg with the name of the file. For more detailed information, please see Wikipedia:Extended image syntax.
