Template:ArbCom Arab-Israeli editnotice
![]() | Editors to this page:
This is due to an arbitration decision, and in accordance with the most recent active arbitration case remedies, which authorised discretionary sanctions for edits and pages relating to the Arab–Israeli conflict. If you breach the restriction on this page, you may be blocked or otherwise sanctioned. Please edit carefully. Please note that discretionary sanctions can be used against individual editors who repeatedly or seriously fail to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any Wikipedia policy and editorial norm. Before you make any more edits to pages in this topic area, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system, the applicable arbitration decision (as well as the most recent arbitration decision), and {{Arab-Israeli Arbitration Enforcement}}. Edits by unregistered users and editors with less than 500 edits or 30 days tenure may be reverted without regarding the one revert rule. |
Usage
Use as an editnotice on pages subject to the WP:ARBPIA restriction. The visibility of this template is a prerequisite to sanctioning an editor for violation of the 1RR restriction. Editors are expected to exercise caution on whether the restriction applies to a particular article, and if necessary ask for clarification. As the 1RR restriction was applied directly by the Arbitration Committee it is not subject to the special awareness criteria for page-level sanctions. However, other page-level sanctions, applied by administrators under discretionary sanctions are covered by those requirements.
Optional parameter
There are two types of restrictions under current ARBPIA sanctions: primary article and related content (see WP:ARBPIA4 remedies #6 and #7). For pages falling under primary article sanctions, simply use the default template:
For pages falling under related content sanctions, use the relatedcontent optional parameter:
{{ArbCom Arab-Israeli editnotice|relatedcontent=yes}}
Notes
For pages falling under related content, it may be necessary to include a comment in the wiki text of the article identifying the related content if there is any confusion as to what is covered by the ARBPIA sanctions.
