Template:AIP AU/doc
![]() | This is a documentation subpage for Template:AIP AU. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template is used to generate an external link to the AIP "En Route Supplement - Australia" (ERSA) for a specific airport. The ERSA facilities (FAC) section contains full details for all licensed aerodromes and limited details for many unlicensed airfields.[1] It is updated four times a year and the URL changes each time, so using a template allows it to be updated in one place rather than editing multiple articles.

Technical information
The "En Route Supplement - Australia" (ERSA) is updated four times per year with releases corresponding with AIRAC cycles 03, 06, 09 and 12 (usually in March, June, August and November). This causes a change in the URL which includes the new effective date, such as 21-May-2020
(note use of leading zero for day of month). This template should be updated before the effective date for each new cycle. The following is list of changes required in 2020 and 2021.
2020 Amendment Cycle:
- 27-Feb-2020 — new effective date, Amendment cycle 2003
- 21-May-2020 — new effective date, Amendment cycle 2006
- 13-Aug-2020 — new effective date, Amendment cycle 2009
- 05-Nov-2020 — new effective date, Amendment cycle 2012
