Plot

Tired of her life,, Juanita leaves her grown kids behind and takes off looking for a new beginning.[2]

Empowerment

Juanita, a main character of this movie, is a black woman who has desire to explore her sexuality, vulnerability, and her shortcomings. She pushes a story of dealing with one's self under a framework that can be tyrannical for some, and explicitly for Black ladies. At present, almost 41 million Americans live beneath the government poverty line. People of color in the U.S., like Juanita, are paid 38% lesser than white men and 21 percent lesser than white ladies. The poverty rate for Black ladies is 28.6 percent, and family units headed by ladies, especially Black and Latina ladies, actually manage high paces of destitution.

Albeit Black ladies are regularly at the cutting edge of causes battling for equity and correspondence, this film centers around the consideration expected to continue with the battle. It’s definitely a good movie with new humor and nuance.[3]

Juanita highlight complex sentiments seen through the eyes of black woman, and contact on what financial matters and race mean for these pairings. Juanita give a sort of portrayal that is seldom seen on the big screen, and this achievement primarily depends on Woodard's presentation – she figures out how to communicate essentialness and trouble in equivalent measure, and never allows the watcher to fail to remember that there is a whole other world to this character than her struggles and suffering[4]
