An excellent book to read to your family and the child can learn to count from 1-10 at the same time.

Summary

Counting book that features an African-American family shopping for food, preparing dinner, and sitting down to eat. Lively read-aloud text paired with bright collage illustrations. [1]

Pros

This book is so adorable and fun! It's not only a clever counting book, it's a warm and vibrant portrait of a loving family (father, mother and several children) preparing a special meal (to which the grandparents are invited) from going shopping together at the grocery store, to cook together, to gathering around and eating together. A recommended family book! [2]

A verified reader gave comment to this book. This small book is perfect for little children’s hands. The artwork of the black family is perfect. Story is about family taking a trip to the grocery store, coming home to cook and then eat. Counts 1 to 10 then 10 to 1. Great book to have in children’s home library. [3]
