![]() | This template uses Lua: |
![]() | Creating a redirect to this template also requires updating the Lua pattern for detection of this template in Module:Ds/aware |
This template allows a user to signal their awareness of the discretionary sanctions system, so that it is not necessary to warn them. This possibility was enacted by Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification_and_Amendment#Amendment_request:_DS_Awareness_and_alerts.
Usage
Towards the top of your own talk page, add:
{{Ds/aware|topic_code}}
where topic_code identifies the discretionary sanction topic(s) for which you assert awareness, and thus waive the need for notice.
You can specify multiple topics; select them from the full list of topic codes. For example:
{{Ds/aware|ap|e-e|gg}}
displays
![]() | This user is aware of the discretionary sanction topic area(s):
Script error: No such module "Ds/aware". They should not be given alerts for those areas. |
Then, if another editor tries to warn you about discretionary sanctions in the relevant topics, they will see:
Script error: No such module "Ds/aware".
within the output of Special:AbuseFilter/602, Mediawiki:Abusefilter-warning-DS.
