David Tennant (aristocrat)

Created by Edwardx (talk). Self nominated at 23:20, 8 June 2014 (UTC).

  • Symbol question.svg Article is new enough and long enough. Article is neutrally written and supported by inline citations. The hook is short enough. However, the hook is a bit mystifying to me. I realized this is probably a gag, kind of a play on the fact that there's another more famous David Tennant, but even so, I find the hook problematic in part because it really has nothing to do with the article being promoted and also because it is not supported by the article. The promoted article makes no mention of "Doctor Who" whatsoever and has no sources for the proffered hook fact. This needs to be addressed before this can be promoted. QPQ also needs to be completed. Cbl62 (talk) 04:56, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

  • I may have been tired and emotional when I wrote that hook. I've struck it and added a more conventional ALT1. Edwardx (talk) 10:53, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Symbol question.svg With respect to Matisse in the "alt 1" hook, the cited source states that the club had "lavish interiors, some by Henri Matisse." It does not say that Matisse was a member. (This biography of Matisse does say that several of his works, including Harmony in Red hung in the club for years, and refers to Matisse as the club's "presiding genius.") With respect to the others, the source describes them as regular patrons but not necessarily as "members." I'm not sure if reliable, but this and this do describe Freud and Bacon as "members."
