Template documentation

This template is used to notify parties to an open arbitration case that the Arbitration Committee has proposed a decision that concerns their account. Editors whose conduct or actions have been named in a behavioural finding of fact, whom the committee has proposed be topic-banned, or who are otherwise affected by the decision should be notified promptly about the decision. This template standardises the notification given to these editors, and is used as described below.

Basic use

{{subst:ArbComPD|Case name}}

Custom message

A second parameter is used to specify the actual proposal that relates to the user being notified:

{{subst:ArbComPD|Case name|Message you wish to add to the standard notification}}

Example (with custom message)

For example, in Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Muhammad images, if User:ClueBOT is being topic-banned from editing the Main Page, the following notification might be used:

{{subst:ArbComPD|Muhammad images|Specifically, an arbitrator has proposed that [[Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Muhammad images#ClueBOT topic-banned|you be topic-banned]]}} would give the message below.
