Herbivore Botanicals

Herbivore Botanicals is Seattle-born natural beauty brand launched in 2011 which was created by husband-and-wife team Julia Wills and Alexander Kummerow. The brand is known for a non-toxic beauty brand using raw natural materials to provide high quality products, with their most popular product which is Phoenix Facial Oil. Founder Julia studied natural medicine and the very first Herbivore products were sold on Etsy. Now, it's a well-known natural brand found in a number of different stores. The founders are still very hands on in the process of product development and design.[1]

Support to Black Lives Matter

Taking a stand against racism and in honor of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and all Black folks who have died at the hands of racism and police violence, Herbivore Botanicals have raised $46,000 for Black Lives Matter, the NAACP, and the ACLU. On their website, they also mentioned that they are diving into tough conversations about racism and organizing our plans to fight for Black lives year-round—not only during moments of mass protest, and not only monetarily, but also internally and in their daily lives.[2] They also give a bit information regarding the organisation they donated on their website.

Herbivore has long advocated for marginalised communities, including the LGBTQ+ community – £1 from every sale of its Prism Exfoliating Glow Lotion benefits LGBTQIA+ charities.[3]
